Supramolecular Materials
Welcome to the Beyeh Laboratory
Our research lies at the intersection of structural, synthetic, and supramolecular chemistry, as well as (bio)material science. We are particularly focused on harnessing weak interactions to construct complex chemical systems with potential applications in materials science and biotechnology.
Our current research areas include:
- Designing organic macrocycles as receptors, therapeutic agents, and sensors for biologically relevant analytes
- Exploring halogen bonding in supramolecular and macromolecular materials
- Exploring amphiphilic macrocycles as potential asphaltene dispersants relevant to the petroleum industry
All projects sit at the interface of chemistry, polymer science, materials science, and biology.
